RIM is apparently getting to set debut a new touchscreen-equipped BlackBerry Bold Touch at BlackBerry World next week. While still not completely official, that is now been all but confirmed by RIM itself, it briefly featured the teaser picture on its website. RIM couldnt help itself and promised that it will be a bold step ahead, and it appears that this device is running in BlackBerry 7, which until recently was better known as OS6.1.
Netherlands-based mobile analytics group Distimo released that there are more free apps for Android than the iOS, at 134,342 to 121,845. The notable things are first, when one adds free iPad-only apps, the total number of gratis iOS apps increases to more competitive 132,239. And then there is Apples sometimes rigorous vetting process, it has probably played a role in its numeric slip this report doesnt highlight things like legality, repetition, or the overall number of apps dedicated. Apple has a lot more Premium apps, giving it overall lead at 333,124 to 206,143 but between Androids rapid growth and report terms iOSs relative stagnation, Distimo expects Google to take the top spot in five months time, outnumbering iPhone and iPad apps combined a rough scenario for Cupertino to stomach, but atleast the company will still have Windows Phone to kick around a while longer.
The Sprint would sell the Xoom a calendar entry here, an accessory there but there is a conforming peep from the Now Network itself. The Researchers from Tufts University have built a robot that is able to mimic the way a caterpillar balls itself up to bounce away from predators. As you see the videos we had given, while the robot is quite bigger than the actual bug, is does indeed to do a good caterpillar intimation. The researchers says that the ballistic rolling behaviour could be used to improve on some of the many existing robots that are modelled on worms or snakes which could let them fling themselves into disaster area, and then wiggle around to aid in search and rescue operations. Motorolas Xoom LTE upgrade has been delayed. Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha told that we will be seeing the Bionic, delay that we were already sulking about ans said that the company is waiting for its LTE rollout to get a little further along. So, it seems to be one less G for Xoom users until summer and no Bionic at until then. Motorola also says it shipped over 250,000 Xooms in the Q1 of this year, and managed net revenues of $3 billion. That is 22percent up from last year, which brought losses down to $.27 per share mush nicer than $.72 in Q1 2010.

Video Connect now works with some devices running Android 2.1 and up, iPhones, iPad2s and any iPod Touch with a camera letting Apple fanboys and Android apologists speak face to face over 3G, 4G and Wi-Fi with the device of their choosing. It is not the first app to do cross-platform video-calling, but it is the only one with Qiks video mail and video sharing services. Last Wednesday (April 20, 2011) Sonys PlayStation Network was down. That time Sony said that it is for maintenance and the outage would only last for a day or two. But now, Sony has announced that the outage was due to a hacker infiltrating the system and stealing PlayStation 3 and PSP players personal information. Sony did not comment about whether the data that is stolen included credit card information.Sony said that the personal information of registered PlayStation Network (PSN) has been compromised, that forced them to shutdown the server last week. It believes personal information like Logins, passwords may have been illegally obtained.
