The Motion Computings CL900 tablet is now available for the orders with starting price at $899. The tablet features 2.1-pound Windows 7 Slate, 1.5GHz Intel Oak Trail Atom Z760 processor, 10.1-inch display, 1366*768 resolution multi-touch displays shielded with Corning Gorilla Glass. It got 1.3MP front-facing camera and 3MP sensor keeping back side camera. The tablet thickness is around 15.5mm, also offers 2GB RAM with 30GB or 62GB SSD. Google has been planning to bring peer-to-peer NFC sharing to the Ice Cream Sandwich release of Android. It got 0-click contact, webpage, and YouTube video sharing between your NFC-equipped Android smartphones and tablets. Just the bring the devices together and voila, data shared without launching an application or navigating through the UI. Google plans to build this functionality into as many systems apps as it can while providing the API to developers to 0-click enable their third-party applications. The Googles Ice Cream Sandwich will be a Universal OS that runs on everything from teeny tiny Android phones to 10-inch tablets and will adapt to each form factor with things like a resizable status bar. Some other fancy new additions were demonstrated during Googles I/O conference, it includes face-tracking and camera focus shifting based on voice recognition, most of the salient features remain under lock and key for now.

Google announced its movie rentals in the Android Market at its I/O conference. They demonstrated about renting movies on the Android Market from your phone, tablet, and PC with a single click. Pinning mirrors the experience with apps and books, you can select it on your PC and download device in the background for offline viewing. Movies are live in the Market now, support all Android 2.2 or higher devices is expected in a couple of weeks and tablets will get support with their upgrade to Android 3.1. Google announced that Android 3.1 is now available for Verizon Xoom 3G users. It got a lot of improvements and refinements, includes resizable widgets, a new host mode lets you to improve photos to your tablet directly from your camera, takes advantage of number of USB devices, including XBOX 360 and PS3 controllers. It also includes Googles Movies Apps let you to purchase and rent thousands of movies and updated version of most of the Googles main apps, includes faster web browser with new Quick Controls menu, the OS will be hitting Google TV sometime this summer. Android has recently crossed its 100 millionth activation milestone, and also growing at its fastest pace yet, 400,000 devices are activated daily. There are now 200,000 Android Applications in the Android Market, it has accumulated a total of 4.5 billion installs, and Google says it as accelerating.

Double Twist introduces a media and mp3 sharing between two devices now. Advents Vega tablet with its Tegra2 innards costs 199 ($326 approx), some couple of hackers have replaced the Vegas antiquated Android2.2 with a heaping help of Honeycomb. Its in alpha phase now, the widgets and apps are working well, camera capabilities, screen rotation, web surfing on Wi-Fi, and most everything is currently off limits. The Xplore technologies got its new bombproof tablet, the iX104C5. The model follow its progenitor PCs, the C2, C3, and the C4, in that it has a 10.4-inch XGA display and rugged good looks. The C5 improves on earlier models with specs, 2.13GHz Intel Core i7-620UE Processor, 2GB RAM (expandable up to 8GB) running Windows7. It has dedicated GPS, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and Gobi 2000 mobile broadband card to keep you flush with 3G data. It got swappable 10-cell Li-Ion battery and dual SSD drive capability with RAID support. No words about pricing yet.

Watch ESPN App is now available on Android devices, brings the live video streaming of ESPN channels it features its debut on iOS last month. The interface running will require the installation of Adobe AIR on your Android 2.2 or higher device (no tablet optimizations yet and no mention on Honeycomb too read the press release for more details). Only TV subscribers to ESPN Networks enabled providers can stream everything while those with FiOS internet can access ESPN3, and all others are locked out entirely. Here is the news about Microsofts upcoming Mango OS update. The date rumoured is now fixed for the preview on 24th of May as the date Redmond will dish the full details of its next major software release. The mangoish colored invite makes no mention of Windows Phone 7 anywhere, leading us to suspect that Microsoft will likely upgrade its mobile nomenclature as well as future set.
