Today, Verizon has announced five new prepaid data plans for tablets, giving customers options ranging from 500 MB to 10 GB. These new plans are available for 3G and 4G-enabled tablets, mobile broadband and connected devices and does not require an annual contract, or credit checks.
Verizon announces that they are offering a new iPhone upgrade program, which allows customers to upgrade their iPhones annually. The catch is that to be eligible for this program customers just need to ensure that they have paid off at least half of the device’s retail cost.
Today, Nextbit has announced that their new crowdfunded smartphone, Nextbit Robin is compatible with Sprint. With this announcement their smartphone now supports all four major U.S telecom Carrier – AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon.
Today, Verizon has released Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for Samsung Note Pro 12.2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 tablets. Aside from the Android update the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 gets an improved version of Samsung Knox security suite, as well as Reactivation Lock which prompts user to log into Samsung account so that device protection can be enabled.
Apple and all major U.S wireless carriers are accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Pre-orders are available in first wave launch countries including the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, the UK, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and Singapore.

According to a leaked document Verizon will launch LG Watch Urbane on April 28, i.e. tomorrow for $349.99.
Google is in the process of getting into cellular service game as an MVNO and selling access to mobile networks. As a first step, they are in talks with Hutchison Whampoa, owner of UK mobile operator Three, to allow consumers to use their smartphones abroad at no extra cost. Google’s aim is to create a global network that will cost the same to use for calls, texts and data no matter where a customer is located.
