Students at California State University will be at least make a set up to fast food. CSU announced a 3 year deal with Nature Publishing Group for low-cost, interactive, web-based textbooks with access options for disabled students. Students on the L.A., Northridge, and Chico campuses will each have varying payment and licensing models, but $49 gets anyone a full edition starting September 1st. Qualcomm confirmed that Microsoft has chosen it to bring a new generation of Windows Phone devices exclusively featuring Qualcomms Second Generation Snapdragon Mobile Processors to the market. The companys executive vice president says that Qualcomm is excited about next Windows Phone Mango Release, and it will leverage the synergy of our highly integrated second generation Snapdragon Processor and Microsoft Windows Phone software.

Opera released the version 6.0 of its Mini Mobile Browser, which has support for all iOS devices, including iPad, and iPad2, and a specific shortcut for iPhone 4 retina display. The design of the web browser is freshened up with a new look and feel; the social networking function let you blast URLs into Twitter and Facebook directly from the app. It includes the ability to load tabs in background and improves support for non-Latin alphabets like Arabic and Chinese. In addition to the long awaited landscape mode address bar, IE9 for Windows Phone promises to bolster performance through GPU acceleration and an improved rendering experience. In MeeGo Conference San Francisco, the newly noted device is i-Buddie Oak Trail Tablet. Its a 10-inch tablet made by i-Buddie and built on Intels recent Oak Trail architecture. The Security nightmare just continues, plenty of Sonys executives beginning to wish someone would pinch them already. It taken a PR and financial beating over the PSN breach, now the Greek site of Sony BMG has been hacked and account info of thousands of users has been posted online. According to Naked Security, the attack does not appear to have been particularly sophisticated and was carried out using an automated SQL injection tool that demands more patience and skill. The dump reveals usernames, real names, and email addresses of Sony registered users (SonyMusic.gr customers), other fields including passwords, telephone numbers are either empty or contain fake data suggests that hack was not entirely successful.
i3D is a new app can create glasses-free 3D display on iDevices, using a technology called HCP (Head Coupled Perspective). Developed from Engineering Human-Computer Interaction (ECHI) Research Group, HCP uses front facing camera to track movements of users head, allows the app to adjust the display. The result is a monocular 3D screen that creates the illusion of looking into a box. i3D is now available for free in iTunes Store and runs on iPad2, iPhone4 and fourth generation iPod Touch. Some sources from Taipei says that Amazon launch 10-inch LCD tablet before holidays and they also heard of 7-inch models and plans to use NVIDIAs new quad-core Tegra SoC. Tims sources say that Amazon wanted to use a switchable black and white E Ink display and a color LCD hybrid but two vendors approached. It wont be ready to display until 2012 or 2013. None of this has been verified up to now, but we stay tuned to get some updates from them.
