Learn how to use nearby devices on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Change settings for sharing content when you connect the device to nearby devices. On the Settings screen, tap Connections > Nearby devices, and then tap the Nearby devices switch to activate it.

  • DEVICE NAME: View the media server name for your device.
  • Content to share: Set the device to share your content with other devices.
  • Allowed devices: View the list of devices that can access your device.
  • Denied devices: View the list of devices that are blocked from accessing your device.
  • Download to: Select a memory location for saving media files.
  • Download from other devices: Set the device to accept uploads from other devices.
  • Content to share: Select the content to share. Choices are: Videos, Photos, and Music.
  • Receive files from other devices: If a nearby device attempts to upload data, this setting indicates the response.

Note

This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tab S’s; including Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.
