Learn how to use message settings on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Change settings for using messages. On the Settings screen, tap Applications > Messages.

  • General settings: Change various message settings, such as the default app to use.
  • Display: Change settings for the messaging window, such as the background colour and more.
  • Signature settings: Set the device to display your signature on the message.
  • Text message settings: Change settings for text messages.
  • Multimedia message settings: Change settings for multimedia messages.
  • Push message settings: Set an interval for pop-up notifications that alert you to new messages.
  • Cell broadcast (CB) settings: Set the device to receive cell broadcast messages.
  • Notification settings: Set the device to alert you to new messages.
  • Spam message settings: Set the device to block messages from specific numbers or that contain certain words.
  • Delay message sending: Set the time the device waits before sending messages after you tap the send button.
  • Safe mode:
    • Allow access to all links: Set the device to allow to open the link on a message when you tap the link.
    • Potential threat alerts: Set the device to alert you when you install apps that support messaging feature to prevent phishing.

Note

This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tab S’s; including Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.
