Xperia Play Hits Verizon For $200 On-Contract, In Stores May 26th

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play hits the first US carrier to offer the PlayStation Phone, will be available for pre-order on carriers website starting by May 19th and will be available on stores by May 26th for the usual $199.99 on a two year contract. This is the first PlayStation certified handset with console style controls D-pad and PlayStation face and shoulder buttons and some miniature touchpads. You will get seven games preloaded on the device. As Verizon also notes, those opting for the phone will have to sign up for both a NationWide Talk Plan and a smartphone data package as well, which start at $39.99 a month, with unlimited plan you can be at $29.99. Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY customers will need to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Nationwide Talk plan and a smartphone data package. Nationwide Talk plans begin at $39.99 for monthly access and an unlimited smartphone data plan is $29.99 for monthly access.
