Verizon Releases Security And Performance Update For LG G4

Verizon released a new security update for LG G4 users on its network. This update is around 415 MB with a change log of only security enhancements. However, considering the size of the update, we believe it will also include performance fixes for the keyboard, touchscreen and more. Today, AT&T is also pushing an update for LG G4 which includes performance fixes for the keyboard, touchscreen and more.

Current Software Update Benefits

The following improvement has been made:

Android security patches

We will continue working with Google and handset makers to ensure that any security patches are available as soon as they’re fully tested and approved. Please check the Verizon Support website for the latest software information and version available for your device.

To grab the update on your phone,

  • Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.
  • Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong Verizon Wireless network connection.
  • Then go to Settings, “About phone” and check for an update.
