AT&T LG G4 Gets Performance And Security Update

AT&T has released a new security update for LG G4 users on its network, which brings along with it a number of performance enhancements. The update also includes performance fixes for the keyboard, battery and touchscreen responsiveness.

Here is the change log for the update.

• Battery improvements
• Keyboard enhancements
• LG Backup
• Camera enhancements
• GPS enhancements
• Exchange Active Sync enhancements
• Touch Improvement
• Security enhancements

Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, a PC, or using a favorite application (from the Play Store), prior to upgrading the software.

To grab the update on your phone,

• Ensure your battery is fully charged before starting the software update.
• Connect your device to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure it has a strong AT&T Wireless network connection.
• Then go to Settings, “About phone” and check for an update.

AT&T is not the only carrier releasing this update, it looks like Verizon is also pushing an update for LG G4, but their change log only include “Android security patches”.
