Sprint customers of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will see an update for their device bringing Samsung Pay prior to its beta period, and a month before its expected launch. Samsung Pay is set to make its US debut on September 28, so it is interesting to see the carrier push the update a month early.

The change log for this update includes:

  • Samsung Pay
  • Live broadcasting via Yahoo!
  • High Quality Audio (with Samsung headsets)
  • UI updates
  • Bug fixes

Samsung is hosting a beta for Samsung Pay in which select users can gain access to the mobile payment option beginning August 25. Samsung Pay aside, the update still brings a number of great additions to the phones, so be sure to check for your update now in the Settings menu. If you have already received the update, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
