The PreCentral has received an anonymous tip that HPs slate will not be able to edit Office documents. This is a retaliatory rumor put out by BlackBerry; it emits an unfortunate whiff of truth. HP has previously made a big deal of the TouchPads inclusion of the Quick Office app, it said that, it is working with QuickOffice to include document editing, and it has never demoed editing in action. They recently boost up its app account; it can put more efforts in functionality instead. The tip also suggested that at least some editing capabilities will be introduced through downloadable update in Q3 2011.

Motorolas most anticipated Honeycomb tablet Xoom has been finally been officially announced for India. This is the Worlds first ever honeycomb tablet, as it being released in India now only. The tablet was expected to make the entry a month before, but Motorola was mum on the topic, now the official announcement came for India, it features 10.1-inch touchscreen with 1280*800 pixels resolution, powered with NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, 2MP front facing camera, 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording capabilities. It also supports 1080p Full HD playback and an HDMI port, its available in 16GB, and 32GB models can be upgraded through the micro SD card slots. The price may be Rs.28,000 for 16GB WiFi model and 36,000 for 32GB model.

The Windows Phone Team was playing nice with the jailbreakers from ChevronWP7, today there is a official announcement from the devs of ChevronWP7 Labs would be open soon, with the approval of Redmond, allows users to load homebrew apps on their devices. Unlike the tools from iPhone dev team, this service will not be free. The users will have to pay a small fee through PayPal.

The Kobo eReader Touch Edition went on sale in the US and Canada now for $129.99 (or $139.99 for Canada) at Best buy, Borders, Walmart, and the Canadian Bookseller Indigo. The 6-inch Kobo eReader is thinner, lighter, and more compact than Nook Touch, the screen is also same size. It also prices a $10 less, but there is only 1GB of internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was coming, but some shoppers eagerly waiting for the tablets arrival will go empty handed. We just told by Samsung rep that there have been shipping delays to some stores in certain regions. It resembles the Xperia Arc, it appears to be large, edge to edge display and a UI that is apparently tweaked a bit from what we have seen, includes a different weather widget, and media player controls under the dock.
