Videocon Mobile is planning to launch an Android based 7-inch tablet for Indian market. They are currently testing a prototype of Android 2.3 based 7-inch tablet and they are getting ready to launch it in July, sources told to the Mobile Indian. They also said that the company is planning to launch a 7-inch because through a survey they have found out it is most acceptable tablet size in India. A rumor says that it will be an OEM device from China, will be rebranded by Videocon. Many other local companies like Lava, Micromax and Karbonn are also working on such Android Tablets.

University of Cambridge researchers volunteered by a group of Android users to take a look at how they use their cell phones. By downloading the Device Analyzer App from the Android market, more than 1000 participants have allowed the data collection program to harvest statistics in background while they use their phones.
