Todd Teresi has been hired to be the new chief of Apples iAd mobile advertising division, but since the hire it has been officially confirmed, it is all based on sources familiar with the matter. Bloomberg Business Week asserts that the iAd team has been cutting the prices to keep customers from jumping out, includes Google, nothing that the dominance seen in the tablet market is not exactly translating on the advertising side.

In an effort to provide all users with consistent interface, its making the theme essential for all Android 4.0 devices that come bundled with the Android market. Google Map Maker (http://www.google.com/mapmaker), launched in April this year, has received a major update that attempts to make the interface easier on the eyes, increase the usability for first-timers, with a brief tutorial page explaining all the tools on offer. This new design follows the redesigns of other top Google properties including Gmail, Docs, YouTube and Reader. This new update allows users to draw in new roads, bike trails and other local features using an online tool, submitting details about roads, points of interest, features near a point and even geographic boundaries in over 180 countries and once the changes are approved by the Google’s Moderation team, they’ll be integrated into Google Maps, Google Earth and Google Maps for Mobile.
American Airlines has been approved by the FAA to use Apple iPad in cockpits to navigate maps. This initiative is believed to help the airline save about $1 million per year. The very first officially iPad flight will take off this Friday aboard a B-777 aircraft being fully FAA approved to use iPads on all flight phases, as digital flight manual readers and as electronic chart.
