Nokia plans to launch 40 new model phones this year

Nokia is fighting back now to get back well in the competitive World. The handset manufacturer has increasingly feeling the heat that the growing mobile market players have been fanning towards it. Nokia is in the midst of planning to aggressively with its new launches. This year they planned to launch 40 new models in the market, 12 of which will be Smartphones category. This move from Nokia, expects that retain or rather regain its dominance in the smartphone category with the launch of its 12 models in the same. The price range of these models is yet to be disclosed.

According to the recent research from IDC called Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, Android remains to be hot favourite followed by Blackberry, iOS, Symbian, Windows Phone7. However, Nokia does not believe these figures are true. IDC report itself its a mere prediction.
