New York Post Blocks iPad Access Through Safari Browser

nypost

The New York Post has blocked the iPad users from reading its stories through the iPads Safari browser. They will be promoted to download the iOS app, requires signing up for a subscription costs $6.99 on a monthly basis. You can still read the site from the desktop browser or a phone, including an Android one. The News Corp. is strangling web access, but only for a select group of readers. Thats stark contrast from other content providers, have been more platform-agnostic. There is a dim possibility that News Corp. targeted iPad is an effort to re-brand the Post as a glossier sort of tabloid.
