LG on Sunday officially announced the Ice Cream Smart, its second smartphone to have a clamshell form factor – after the Wine Smart. As we assumed last week, when we first heard about the Ice Cream Smart, the new handset is the modern successor to LG’s Ice Cream KF350 from 2008.

The Ice Cream Smart runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and is available starting this week in South Korea, in two color variants: mint and pink. The smartphone costs about $277, and doesn’t have an external display.

The screen of the LG Ice Cream Smart is a 3.5-inch HVGA (320 x 480 pixels) one, similar to the display of the Wine Smart. The new handset is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor (probably a Snapdragon 400, though LG doesn’t mention this), has 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of expandable internal memory. Other features include LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, DMB-TV, Bluetooth 4.0, VGA front-facing camera, an 8 MP rear camera, and a 1700 mAh battery.
