How To Use YouTube On HTC One

Learn how to use YouTube on your HTC One. Use the YouTube app to check out whats popular on the online video-sharing website.

• Open the YouTube app.
• Browse or search for a video.
• When you find the video that you like, tap it.
• While watching a video, you can:
  • Turn HTC One sideways to watch the video in full screen.
  • Tap the video screen to pause or to resume playback, or drag the slider to jump to a different part of the video.
  • Scroll down the video information panel to see the description, related videos, or comments from other viewers.
• Want to watch the video at a later time instead? Tap Menu icon > Add to > Watch later. You can access the video again from your account profile’s Watch later list.
• Tap the YouTube icon to return to the main screen.

How to preload videos in YouTube on HTC One

Set the YouTube app to preload videos so that you can watch them without interruptions. Videos are preloaded when HTC One is being charged and is connected to a Wi-Fi network.

• In the YouTube app, tap Menu icon > Settings > Preloading.
• Select what type of videos to preload.
• The videos are preloading when download icon appears on Watch list screen or on the channel you subscribed to. The icon changes to green color download icon when the videos are ready to watch.

How to clear the search history in YouTube on HTC One

• In the YouTube app, tap Menu icon > Settings.
• Tap Search > Clear search history.
