On the road with HTC Car

Now when you drive, you can easily use HTC One to reach your destination, keep you entertained, and help you stay in touch with the people that matter to you. Access music, phone calls, maps, and more with HTC Car.

• HTC Car instantly launches when you mount HTC One in HTC Car Kit.
• Swipe up or down to see what you can do in HTC Car.

Note

• When using HTC Car, return to the main screen from any other screen by pressing Home Key.
• When you remove HTC One from HTC Car Kit, HTC Car will automatically exit.
• You can also manually close HTC Car by pressing Back Key from the main screen.

Using voice commands in HTC Car

Use your voice to control HTC Car.

• In HTC Car, tap the screen with three fingers to activate voice command mode.
• Do one of the following:
  • Call someone: Say “Call [person’s name in phonebook]”
  • Play music: Say “Play [song title, album, artist name, or genre]”
  • Find something on the map: Say “Find [name of place, address, type ofplace]”

Note

You can also activate speak by:

• Tapping Speak on the main screen in HTC Car.
• Pressing the answer button on supported Bluetooth headsets.

Finding places in HTC Car

• In HTC Car, tap Navigation.
• To search for a place, tap Search Key and enter a location in the search box.
• To look up a previously searched for place, tap Previous.
• To get directions for an upcoming event in Calendar, tap Appointments and then tap an upcoming appointment.

Exploring what’s around you

Feeling adventurous? With just a few taps, you can find interesting places around you quickly.

• In HTC Car, tap Navigation.
• Tap a category, for example Restaurant or Parking to see what’s available near you.
• Tap Search Key to enter your own search keywords.

Playing music in HTC Car

• In HTC Car, tap Music.
• Swipe left or right to browse by category.
• Tap Search Key to search your collection.
• Tap an album, song, or playlist to listen to it.

Making phone calls in HTC Car

• Tap Dialer to open the dialpad.
• Tap People and then browse a category or search by entering a name.
• Tap Speak and say “Call” and the person’s name. For example, say “Call Jennifer Singer“.

Handling incoming calls in HTC Car

When you receive an incoming call, you can easily answer or decline.

• If you hear a voice prompt, say “yes” or “no” to answer or decline a call.
• Tap Answer or Decline.

Customizing HTC Car

• To change the default behavior of HTC Car, tap Settings.
• To add more apps to HTC Car, tap + icon and select an app.
