Microsoft has rolled out copy and paste & performance updates for Windows Phone 7 developers. This update adds the long awaited copy & paste functionality to Windows Phone 7. The new Copy and Paste is easy and intuitive and involves tapping a word and slide your finger to highlight the text and tap the copy icon. To insert all you have to do is click the area where the text is to be inserted and tap the paste icon.

This update also brings performance improvement to Windows Phone, in the form decreased load time for applications and games. This update reduces the time to startup and resume applications.

The Marketplace is now streamlined and now the search feature will search only in the particular category. For example a search in Music section will now only search in the music catalog. Also features update notification will be displayed in a pop-up window.

We are hoping Microsoft will speed up and release these update to general Windows Phone 7 users soon.
