Learn how to use VPN on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. TheVirtual Private Network settings menu allows you to set up and manage Virtual Private Networks.

Note: Before you can use aVirtual Private Network you must establish and configure one.

Adding a Virtual Private Network

Before you add aVirtual Private Network you must determine which VPN protocol to use: PPTP, L2TP/IPSec PSK, L2TP/IPSec RSA, IPSec Xauth PSK, IPSec Xauth RSA, or IPSec Hybrid RSA.

Note: You must also set a screen unlock PIN or password before you can use credential storage. For more information, refer to Screen Lock.

  • Touch Settings > More settings > VPN.
  • Touch + Add icon.
  • In the form that appears, fill in the information provided by your network administrator.
  • Touch Save to save yourVirtual Private Network settings.

Connecting To a Virtual Private Network

  • Touch Settings > More settings > VPN.
  • Touch the VPN to which you want to connect.
  • In the pop-up that opens, enter any requested credentials.
  • Touch Connect.

Edit or Delete a Virtual Private Network

  • Touch Settings > More settings > VPN.
  • Touch and hold the VPN that you want to edit or delete.
  • In the pop-up that opens, touch:
    • Edit network, make the desired VPN setting changes, and touch Save.
    • Delete network to delete the VPN.

Note

This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tabs; including Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
