Learn how to use messages on your Huawei Ascend Meta.

Copying a message

  • On the home screen, touch Apps icon.

  • In the list of message threads, touch a contact name or phone number to view the conversation thread.

  • Touch and hold the message you wish to copy.

  • From the displayed option menu, choose Copy text.

  • Touch and hold the area you wish to paste the message and touch Paste.

Forwarding a message

  • On the home screen, touch Apps icon.

  • In the list of message threads, touch a contact name or phone number to view the conversation thread.

  • Touch and hold the message you wish to forward.

  • From the displayed option menu, choose Forward.

  • Touch the recipient text box and enter the contact name or phone number.

Note: Touch Add contact icon to select more contacts.

  • When you are done, touch Next icon.

Locking a message

  • You can lock important messages to avoid deleting them by mistake. Deleting a thread does not remove the locked messages in it.

  • On the home screen, touch Apps icon.

  • In the list of message threads, touch a contact name or phone number to view the conversation thread.

  • Touch and hold the message you wish to lock.

  • From the displayed option menu, choose Lock.

  • On the home screen, touch Apps icon.

  • In the list of message threads, touch a contact name or phone number to view the conversation thread.

  • When you are done, touch Menu > More > Delete.

  • Select the messages you wish to delete.

  • Touch Delete.

  • Touch Delete.

  • On the home screen, touch Apps icon.

  • In the list of message threads, touch and hold the thread you wish to delete.

  • From the displayed option menu, choose Delete messages.

  • Touch Delete.
