Learn how to use Device Administrator on your Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro. Use the Security settings to secure your device. To add or remove device administrators:

  • From the Settings screen, touch General tab > Security.
  • Touch Device administrators.

To enable or disable installation of non-Google Play applications.

  • From the Settings screen, touch General tab > Security.
  • Touch Unknown sources. An informational pop-up displays.
  • Read the message and touch OK to allow installation of non-Google Play applications.

Note:Enabling this option causes your tablet and personal data to be more vulnerable to attack by applications from unknown sources.

  • To block or warn before installing apps that may cause harm, touch Verify apps.
  • Touch Change security level to modify the security level for credential files.

Note
This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tab Pros; including Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 and Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2.
