You can add or remove device administrators on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.

To add or remove device administrators:

  • From a Home screen, touch Apps > Settings > Security.
  • Touch Device administrators.
  • Enable or disable installation of non-Google Play applications.
  • From a Home screen, touch Apps > Settings > Security.
  • Touch Unknown sources. An informational pop-up displays.
  • Read the message and touch OK to allow installation of non-Google Play applications. When enabled, a check mark tick appears in the check box.

Note: Enabling this option causes your tablet and personal data to be more vulnerable to attack by applications from unknown sources.

Note

This article will work on both Samsung Galaxy Tabs; including Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1.
