Learn how to use Bluetooth Settings on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. Use Bluetooth settings to manage Bluetooth connections, set your devices name, and control your devices visibility.

Turning Bluetooth On or Off

To turn your devices Bluetooth service On or Off:

  • From any screen, touch the top of the screen and swipe downward, to display the Quick Settings, and then touch Bluetooth in the Quick Settings menu.

  • Touch Settings.
  • On the Bluetooth tab, touch the OFF / ON icon to turn Bluetooth on or off. For more information about using Bluetooth to exchange information with other Bluetooth devices, see Bluetooth App

Additional Bluetooth Settings

When Bluetooth is on, additional settings are available.

  • Touch Settings > Bluetooth.
  • Touch Scan to scan for nearby discoverable devices.

After searching, touch a device to pair with it. For more information, refer to Pair Bluetooth.

  • Touch Menu key and select a Bluetooth setting to configure:
    • Visibility timeout: Use this setting to control when to automatically turn off the Discoverable option.
    • Received files: Show the list of files received by using Bluetooth.

Note

This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tabs; including Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.
