Learn how to setup accounts on your Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Some apps used on your device require a registered account. Create accounts to have the best experience with your device.

Adding accounts

  • On the All Apps screen, tap Settings > Accounts > Add account.
  • Select an account service.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the account setup.
    To sync content with your accounts, select an account and tick items to sync.

Synchronize Accounts

  • From a Home screen, tap Apps icon > Settings.
  • Tap Accounts > (account type).
  • Tap an account to view the sync settings for that account.
    • Check individual data items to sync.
    • Tap Sync icon Sync to synchronize the account.

Account Settings

Each account has its own set of settings. In addition, you can configure common settings for all accounts of the same type.

Note: Account settings and available features vary between account types and service providers. Contact your service provider for more information on your accounts settings.

  • From a Home screen, tap Apps icon > Settings.
  • Tap Accounts > (account type)
    • Tap an account to configure that accounts settings.
    • Tap Settings or other available options to configure common settings for all accounts of this type.

Delete an Account

  • From a Home screen, tap Apps icon > Settings.
  • Tap Accounts > (account type)
  • Tap the account, and then tap More options > Remove account.
  • Enter the account password and tap Confirm.
  • At the prompt, tap Remove account.

Registering Samsung accounts

You need a Samsung account when using some Samsung apps. You can back up or restore data saved in the device to your Samsung account. Register your Samsung account to the device to conveniently use Samsung services.

  • On the All Apps screen, tap Settings > Accounts > Add account.
  • Tap Samsung account.
  • Tap Sign in.
  • Enter your accounts email address and password, and then tap Sign in.
    Once your Samsung account has been registered, you can use apps requiring your Samsung account without the sign in procedure.
