Learn how to manage contacts on your Samsung Galaxy Alpha. You can edit, delete and share contacts.

Editing a contact

  • On the Apps screen, tap Contacts > Contacts.
  • Select a contact to edit and tap Edit icon.
  • Edit the contact information or tap Add another field to add more contact information.
  • Tap Save.

Deleting a contact

  • Select a contact to delete and tap Menu icon > Delete.

Sharing a contact

  • Select a contact to share, tap Menu icon > Share name card, and then select a sharing method.

Managing groups

  • On the Apps screen, tap Contacts > Contacts.
  • Tap Add to Contacts icon.

Creating a new group

Tap +, enter a group name, and then tap Save.

Adding contacts to a group

  • Select a group, and then tap +. Select contacts to add, and then tap Done.

Deleting a group

  • Tap Menu icon > Delete group, select user-added groups, and then tap Done.

Sending a message or email to group members

  • Select a group, tap Menu icon > Send message or email > Message or Email, select member, tap Done, enter a message, and then tap the send button.

Merging contacts with accounts

Merging contacts that are saved in the device with your accounts.

  • On the Apps screen, tap Contacts > Contacts.
  • Tap Menu icon > Merge accounts > Google or Samsung account.

Importing and exporting contacts

Import contacts from storage services to your device or export contacts from the device to storage services.

  • On the Apps screen, tap Contacts > Contacts.
  • Tap Menu icon > Settings > Contacts > Import/export, and then select an import or export option.
