Borderlands 2 Splinter Group Walkthrough
Completing A Dam Fine Rescue story mission grants us access to some other optional missions including the Borderlands 2 Splinter Group optional mission.
SPOILERS AHEAD!
Borderlands 2 Splinter Group can be acquired by speaking to Patricia Tannis in Crimson Raiders HQ in Sanctuary. She hires us to find and kill four mutated and well-armed enemies in Bloodshot Stronghold (this mission is a reference to the characters in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
Description
Patricia Tannis has hired you to find and kill four dangerous, mutated escapees from Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. Theyre hiding in Bloodshot Stronghold, but be careful; they are well-armed, and color-coordinated. First, youll need to pick up some pizza from Moxxis bar evidently, these creatures love pizza.

Walkthrough
After picking the Borderlands 2 Splinter Group mission from Patricia Tannis we find out that the creatures love pizza, so the next thing to do is to go at Moxxis bar in Sanctuary and grab the pizza on the table so that we can use it as bait. Then we head to their hideout, so we fast travel to Bloodshot Stronghold.
Tip: If its the first time we visit this area after rescuing Roland in A Dam Fine Rescue, then we will have the opportunity to trigger another optional mission, as described in our Borderlands 2 Bloodshot Stronghold and Bloodshot Ramparts walkthrough.
As soon as we arrive where the waypoint is (killing all the enemies we encounter), we need to jump off the small metallic bridge and into the sewers. We climb the ladder and we continue inside the newly discovered area, paying attention to the opponents we find in here. We use the buzzer to let the creatures know that we have some pizza to deliver, and we jump inside Rats Nest via the floor entrance.
At the moment when we put the pizza on the table, the first one of them will come out to fight with us. At a given time (or when his health is low enough), the rest will come out in shifts (they tend to teleport a lot). Eventually, we will have to fight all of them at the same time. The thing we need to know is that they perform incredibly powerful melee attacks, so being on the move all the time helps a lot. After killing them all, we can return to Patricia Tannis in Sanctuary to complete the mission and then concentrate on some other missions listed in our Borderlands 2 walkthrough.
Tip: Before heading back to turn in the mission, we might want to check the room with a lot of chests (after the room where we had the fight). In here, above the big lootable chest, are 5 red/green lights. If we interact with the switch, the lever, the television, and the valve (in this particular order), all lights will turn green, and a fifth creature will appear. We defeat it fast, then we can turn in the mission, and start the one mentioned above, known as Out of Body Experience.
