Facebook Messenger Makes Finding And Connecting With Other Users Easier

Facebook has announced that they are implementing three new features – “Messenger Usernames”, “Messenger Links”, and “Messenger Codes” – to Facebook Messenger app that allows you to connect with other users easily. The company has also announced that the chat service now has over 900 million monthly users worldwide with over 1 billion messages sent every month between people on Messenger and Businesses/Pages.

We’re starting to roll out Messenger Codes, Usernames, and Links (with the amazing m.me / [yourusername] URL) available to people and businesses, making it easier than ever to connect.

If you are a snapchat user, then you will probably find these features are similar to the one available in it. Messenger Codes work in essentially the same manner as Snapchat codes. You simply scan the code that someone sends you, to connect with him or her.

Messenger Usernames and Messenger Links give other people a quick means of finding you on Messenger. Usernames can easily be added to business cards and other physical media, as the Facebook blog announcement suggests, while links are meant to be integrated into email signatures.

Facebook also says that these new features for Facebook Messenger are currently rolled out to businesses as well as individual users.
