Borderlands 2 Eridium Blight is the final large area in the video game, and it can be accessed during a story mission near the end of the story. Like many other areas, it lacks the presence of NPCs (with a small exception), but that doesnt mean we cant acquire a decent number of optional missions in this region.

Borderlands 2 Demon Hunter is a side-mission available after Where Angels Fear to Tread story mission and it can be triggered from the bounty board in Sanctuary. Listening to the distress call brings to our attention the fact that the people of Lynchwood are being attacked by a giant skag.
Borderlands 2 Monster Mash Part 1 is the first mission in a series of three, and it is unlocked after completing Where Angels Fear to Tread story mission. In order to activate Borderlands 2 Monster Mash Part 1, we have to speak to Zed in Sanctuary.
Another optional mission that is available in Sanctuary after Where Angels Fear to Tread is called Borderlands 2 BFFs. Borderlands 2 BFFs can be activated if we talk to one of the four people that are outside Scooters garage, near the lower entrance. They are arguing about some stolen money, and our job is to listen to them and shoot the one who stole the money.
Borderlands 2 Bearer of Bad News is a short optional mission that is available after Where Angels Fear to Tread. Borderlands 2 Bearer of Bad News is activated by speaking to Mordecai in Sanctuary. He wants us to go and spread the news among Rolands friends about his death.
Borderlands 2 Where Angels Fear to Tread Part 2 is the second part of Where Angels Fear to Tread, and its a very short story mission. This is also automatically triggered when we speak to Roland in Control Core Angel.
Borderlands 2 Where Angels Fear to Tread is the story mission, thats triggered right after we speak to Roland in Sanctuary at the end of The Man Who Would Be Jack. Borderlands 2 Where Angels Fear to Tread is the mission for which we have prepared in the last three main missions, because now we have to get through the three security systems to reach Control Core Angel.
Borderlands 2 Showdown is the side-quest available to us after we finish Breaking the Bank, and can be activated at the bounty board in Lynchwood. In Borderlands 2 Showdown given the events from the previous missions, the Sheriff wants a one on one confrontation with us, in a classical western style, pistols only, at noon.
Borderlands 2 Breaking the Bank is a side mission we can activate if we visit Lynchwood after The Man Who Would Be Jack story mission. We can trigger the optional mission at the bounty board from the train station.
Borderlands 2 Animal Rescue: Shelter is the final mission in the Animal Rescue series of side-quests, and is activated when we speak to Dukino at the end of Animal Rescue: Food. After we feed him in the previous mission, Dukino grows considerably larger and he wont fit in his cage anymore. For this reason, in Borderlands 2 Animal Rescue: Shelter, Scooter asks us to go and find Dukino a new home.
Borderlands 2 Animal Rescue: Food is given to us at the end of the previous mission, called Animal Rescue: Medicine. After healing and feeding the skag named Dukino, he still wants more food, so we have to go and bring him some skag tongues.
Borderlands 2 Animal Rescue: Medicine is the first quest in a series of optional missions, and can be triggered at the end of the main railroad in Lynchwood, where we find a chained skag. Scooter will ask us to free this skag named Dukino and take care of him.
Borderlands 2 Lynchwood region is an area available earlier in the game (approximately when The Dust zone is unlocked), but its not wise to travel here until the second half of the game, when we can have a character strong enough to face the opponents encountered here, because there are quite a few missions available to complete in this region.
Borderlands 2 Statuesque side-mission can be triggered when we first travel to Opportunity, if we visit the bounty board found in the city. In Borderlands 2 Statuesque, Claptrap asks us to go and destroy some of Jacks statues from around the city.
Borderlands 2 Written by the Victor is an optional mission that can be obtained in Opportunity. In order to activate Borderlands 2 Written by the Victor, we must press the action button at the base of Jacks statue marked by a yellow exclamation sign on the map. Borderlands 2 Written by the Victor is a short mission, where we learn about Pandoras history from the Hyperion Hall of History.
Borderlands 2 Hell Hath No Fury is a mission available after completing The Once and Future Slab, if we can go talk to Moxxi in Sanctuary. In Borderlands 2 Hell Hath No Fury Moxxi says that Handsome Jack destroyed her Underdome (reference to the 2nd DLC from the original Borderlands game) and now she found out that he is going to build his own Underdome. Moxxi cant accept that, and she wants us to go to Opportunity and kill the construction foreman.
