RIMs 10-Inch PlayBook To Focus On QNX-Powered SuperPhone

The 10-inch version of RIMs tablet may be focusing on QNX-powered super phone. N4BB reports that its development was recently cancelled to focus on an upcoming QNX-based superphone, said to feature a 1.2GHz single core processor, 4.3-inch HD quality display. Its no secret the phones powered by this platform are on the roadmap, but scraps a PlayBook project in its behalf could indicate companys elevated desire to get it to market even smoother than originally planned. The companys reps said that a QNX-powered device will not hit the market with a dual-core CPU inside. The thing behind this is battery life with existing PlayBook chip.
