IK Multimedia has introduced a new “HD” version, the microphone iRig Mic, which is equipped with an analog-to-digital converter and can plug it on Macs and iOS devices with Lightning port. The mic can be connected via Lightning cable with iPhone, iPad or iPod, a USB cable for Mac. iRig Mic HD is a high-quality digital condenser mic for the singer, songwriter, producer, field recordist and journalist etc.

When you speak or sing or record any audio into iRig Mic HD, the sound first goes through a high-definition, audiophile grade pre-amp and then analog to digital converter. It can handle the most demanding professional needs in the field or in the studio, and is comparable in quality to what youd get in a mic costing three times as much. iRig Mic HD puts in a metal case and fits into standard microphone stands.

iRig Mic HD sports a 24-bit audiophile-grade A/D converter, a 44.1/96 kHz sampling rate, and a low noise/high definition pre-amp.
