How To Use Play Music App - Samsung Galaxy Tab 4

Learn how to use play music app on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. The Music app plays songs stored on your tablet or an installed memory card.

  • From a Home screen, touch Apps icon > Music icon. The Music application searches your devices internal storage or on an installed memory card for music and playlists. This can take from a few seconds to several minutes, depending on the amount of new music added since you last opened the application. It then displays your music in several ways.
  • Touch a tab, such as Playlists, Tracks, Albums, and so on, to change the way you view the contents of your library.

Searching for Music

To find music in your library:

  • Touch Music icon.
  • Touch Search icon and use the keyboard to type the name of an artist, album, or song.

Music Options and Settings

To use Music options and configure settings:

  • Touch Music icon.
  • Touch Menu icon to display the following options:
    • Create playlist / Add to playlist: Create a new playlist or add to a playlist.
    • Via Bluetooth: Scan for devices and pair with a Bluetooth headset.
    • Delete: Delete the music file.
    • Music square: Create a playlist based on mood.
    • Settings: The following settings display:
    • Player
    • SoundAlive: Set a type of equalization.
    • Adapt Sound: Enhance sound quality.
    • Play speed: Decrease or increase play speed.
    • Music auto off: Set the option Off or set your music to turn off automatically by touching one of the time values.
    • Lyrics: Display the lyrics of the song, if available.
    • Smart volume: Automatically adjust volume to surroundings.

My music

  • Tabs: Customize the tabs that display on the main Music screen. Playlists and Tracks are not optional.
  • Playlists: Customize the types of playlists that display. Favorites is not optional.

Note

This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tabs; including Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1.
