How To Use Memo App – Samsung Galaxy Alpha

Learn how to use memo app on your Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Use this app to create memos and organize them by category.

Memo

• Tap Memo on the Apps screen.

Composing memos

• Tap Add icon on the memos list and enter a memo. While composing a memo, use the following options:
  • Category icon: Create or set a category.
  • Image icon: Inset images.
  • Record icon: Make a voice recording to insert.
• To save the memo, tap Save.
• To edit a memo, tap a memo, and then tap the content of the memo.

Searching for memos

• Tap search icon on the memos list and enter a keyword to search for memos that include the keyword.

Adding and managing categories

Create categories to sort and manage your memos.

• On the memos list, tap Apps icon > Manage categories.
• To add a new category, tap Adbd icon, enter a category name, and then tap OK.
• To delete a category, tap Delete icon next to category.
• To rename a category, tap and hold a category name, enter a new name for the category, and then tap OK.

Accessing additional options

You can access additional options on the memos list and while viewing memos.

• On the memos list, tap Menu icon and use the following options:
  • Select: Select memos to apply options.
  • Delete: Delete memos.
  • Account: Sync memos with your Samsung account.
• While viewing a memo, tap Menu icon and use the following options:
  • Delete: Delete memos.
  • Share Via: Share the memo with others.
  • Print: Print the memo by connecting the device to printer. Refer to “Mobile printing” for more information.
