Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update For Samsung Galaxy S Is Now Available Out Across Europe

Samsung said its Android Gingerbread update for the Galaxy S would be made available in mid April and they kept their word. Sometime during the night between the 15th and 16th Samsung’s Kies servers started serving up the Android Gingerbread update to Galaxy S owners in parts of Europe and now reports are coming in of users successfully updating their Hummingbird-equipped handsets.

This new update is currently made available to Nordic countries, Holland and Germany. Samsung will soon make this update available for the rest of Europe. If you want to try your luck, boot up your Kies updating utility and pray to your nearest tech deity.
