Bump is a mobile application available for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Android-based devices. The app allows you to share content including photos, music, contacts, apps, calendars, and social network info by simply bumping your device with another device running the app. You can use the Bump app for iOS devices, follow the simple steps below.

Download the Bump for iPhone app from iTunes or by searching for Bump within the App Store on your device.

Launch the app by clicking its icon from your homepage.

If it is your first time using the app, you will be prompted to create an account. Entering an email is optional, but will help your friends and other Bump users find you.

Select what you want to share via Bump by tapping an icon from the main screen of the app. (Music is used in this example).

Click the “Add” button to add content from your device to Bump.

Bump your device by gently tapping it against another device running Bump to send the content. Note: the device only has to be next to the device you are sending content to and doesnt actually have to make contact with the other device.

The user you are sending content to will be prompted to confirm the connection by tapping Yes or No.”

By default, you can view the content you receive through Bump in the location associated with that content on your device. For example, photos will be saved to your iPhones Camera Roll and Addresses will be saved to your Address book.

Note

  • The latest version of Bump for iPhone allows you to share apps with friends. Bumping an app will provide the recipient with a direct link to download the app from the App Store.
  • You can send content to any device running the Bump app, including to and from iPhones, iPod touch, iPads, and Android-based devices.
  • If the content you are trying to bump fails to transfer, you will see the Please bump again message. Make sure both devices have the Bump app running before bumping and try again.
