The HERE City Lens service is free of charge.
Using services or downloading content may cause the transfer of large amounts of data, which may result in data costs.
Some services may not be available in all countries, and may be provided only in selected languages.
Find places
Never miss an interesting place again. You can see what’s around you through your camera viewfinder.

On the start screen, swipe left, and tap HERE City Lens icon.

Tap a category such as accommodation or shopping.
Show places on your surroundings
- Hold your phone in landscape mode, and pan around you as if taking a photo.
The radar in the top right corner helps you quickly see where there are places near you.
If there are many places in the same location, to view them, tap + Add icon.
Note: If you’re in a crowded area with hundreds of places just around the corner, you may want to filter your view so that you only see the places that are in your direct line of sight. Tap Filter place icon.
This feature may not be available in all areas.
View places in a list
- Hold your phone in portrait mode.
Search for a place
- In the main view, tap Search key,and write your search word.
Your searches are saved for future use.
Note: Like to check out bookstores or sushi restaurants when you’re out and about? You can pin your searches to the start screen, so you can find what you’re looking for with a single tap. Tap and hold an item on the search history list, and tap pin to start.
Get contact info and directions to a place
Found a nice restaurant? Get directions to the place, and call them right away to make a reservation.
If you’re meeting friends, it’s easy to send the info to them.

Swipe left, and tap HERE City Lens icon.

Hold your phone in landscape mode.

Tap a place.
Note: If you freeze the view, you can study a place without needing to hold your phone pointed at it. Tap Pause Button.
Call the place
- Tap i icon > phone.
Get walking or driving directions
- Tap Drive direction icon.
Send the contact info to a friend
- Tap Share icon and how you want to send the info.
Save favorites
Save your favorite places and have them backed up and at your disposal on all HERE services, such as HERE Maps.

On the start screen, swipe left, and tap HERE City Lens icon.

In landscape or portrait mode, tap the place, and tap + Add icon.
View a saved place
- In the main view, tap favorites.
Sync a saved place
When you’re signed in to your Nokia account, your favorites sync automatically every time you open HERE City Lens.
