Sapphire Announced Edge-HD2 Mini PC

Sapphires original Edge HD Mini PC pictured above is smaller than hone theatre PCs. The Edges diminutive form factor when designing the HD2 poured itself improving the HTPCs specs. It is not only the small rig behind your HDTV; it features 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM, and a 320GB HDD. It also includes a 1080p VGA and HDMI out, at 30W. It is 20 times less power than a typical desktop PC, according to Sapphire. No words on pricing yet, for more details read the press release

The HTC Inside has leaked some picture and some specs of the new device Eternity. It features 4.7-inch WVGA SuperLCD display, this is the worlds next WP7 SuperPhone. Some of the specs are single-core 1.5GHz processor, 8MP camera with auto focus and dual LED flash, a 720p movie mode, front facing 1.3MP camera, 16GB of internal storage, DLNA support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 1,650mAh battery. The windows phone followers can expect a Mango Update will indeed be necessary before the front-facing camera becomes useful. No words yet on pricing and release date yet.

The Sprint Galaxy tab users are the lucky first ones to get the Android 3.1 update and its resizable widgets. The Now Network will push out an update to Gingerbread, something Tab users overseas have already been enjoying. The upgrades expected to roll out starting July 5th, includes not just Android 2.3, but a step to HID Bluetooth as well. Sprint also releases a fix for the bug in the Samsung Transform that has interfered with PRL and data profile updates.

MediaMall launched the beta for PlayLater this week, the worlds first DVR for online video. The idea of a DVR for the internet sounds good, it got an accurate facilities description; pick a network (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc.,), a show, and an episode, and PlayLater downloads your selection to your computers hard drive. PlayLater pulls down it wraps in a neat layer of DRM, locks that content to the PC that downloaded it. Time-shifting Hulu will costs $5 a month, beta teasers can score free month for trying it out. The robot named Showa Hanako 2, this humanoid was originally developed last year as a tool for dentists looking to practice new procedures. Now the engineers at Japans Showa University have updated their dental denizen, adding a motorized head and replacing her PVC skin with a more realistic silicon coating. She also features speech recognition capabilities and executes natural movements, it includes blinking, sneezing, coughing, and more unsavory circumstances, even chocking. Now the new rumor from the DigiTimes that ASUS is not the only company with a sliding Android tablet this holiday season the Acer will be launching its own 10.1-inch slate with a peekaboo QWERTY stashed one. The ARM powered device is being manufactured by Compal, the launch time seems that this may be the first tablet to taste the Ice Cream Sandwich, but it is safe bet if this unnamed device will ship later this year, if its launching somewhat nearer to the launch of Ice cream sandwich means, it will run on Honeycomb on board.
