Sony SmartWatch 3 Now Available For $250
The recent Android Wear; Sony Smartwatch 3 is now available on Google Play costs $249.99, with quoted shipping time of 1-2 business days.
As we already reported on pre-order; $250 puts the Sony watch on par with the Moto 360, though Sony’s has a square display and integrated rubber strap, as opposed to Motorola’s circular display, stainless steel case, and leather strap. What does give the SmartWatch 3 a leg up, however, is the inclusion of GPS.
Whether or not that inclusion makes the Sony SmartWatch 3 worth $50 more than the square-screened Android Wear smartwatches like the Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch; It has a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC as well as an ambient light sensor, motion sensor, and an IP68 water and dust-reisstant case.
