While Samsung already announced the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 in China, there’s still no official word on the Galaxy A7, which is expected to be the third handset in the company’s brand new Galaxy A series.

Even so, we know for certain that the Galaxy A7 exists, as its model number (SM-A700) is featured on Samsung’s official website. What’s more, the A7 recently visited the FCC – which might mean that an announcement is around the corner.

The FCC confirms that the SM-A700 features NFC and LTE, while also revealing its height (150 mm) and width (75 mm). These dimensions support the idea that the new smartphone sports a 5.2-inch display – as previously rumored.

As we already reported on processor and specs details, its the same. It’s said that the 5.2-inch screen of the Galaxy A7 has a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. Other features reportedly include a 12 MP rear camera, 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of internal memory. We expect the Galaxy A7 to have an all-metal design, just like the A3 and A5.
