Samsung Expects A Slow Q4 2015 For Its Mobile Devices
A recent report citing unnamed industry sources claims that Samsung is lowering its mobile device component orders as the company expects a slowdown in sales of its mobile devices. The report says that Samsung Electronics is lowering its related component orders for the first quarter of 2016.
With the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ and Galaxy Note 5, Samsung’s 2015 smartphone lineups are powerful enough to make it to the top of the list and very attractive for would-be buyers. However, Apple’s recent success in China with the release of larger-size iPhones and local smartphone makers like Xiaomi, Huawei, and Oppo offering high specification products at mid-range pricing are believed to have an effect on Samsung’s sales figure.
In addition to that, the report also mentions slower-than-expected results on the tablet market, which is currently experiencing a worldwide decline. This forecast in sales has also affected Samsung Display’s AMOLED shipments and is reportedly lowering AMOLED display prices in order to appeal to mid-range smartphones makers.
