Today, Pinterest announced that it is rolling out the Buyable Pins feature to Android smartphones. This announcement comes after nearly half a year later since Pinterest rolled out the Buyable Pins feature for its iOS app.

Buyable Pins are Pinterest’s way of monetizing the platform, and they make it easier on users who might want to buy something they see within a pin. Items that can be bought will show the price in blue and will have a “Buy It” button for purchasing the item showcased in the pin. When you first buy an item, Pinterest will save your details making it easier to make future purchases.

At this point, Pinterest says there are more than 60 million Buyable Pins / products on its service, so Android users will, at least, have ample pins to explore.

In addition to rolling out Buyable Pins on Android, Pinterest has also introduced its new Pinterest Shop, an online store of curated items that users may be interested in. Items are from, among other places, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom, as well as smaller boutiques you might not find anywhere else, like The Citizenry and Heist.

The Pinterest shop will be rolling out over “the next couple weeks” to both iOS and Android and to access it from your Android or iPhone, just tap the explore icon then tap Shop.
