Microsoft Has Released Skype For Apple Watch
Today, Microsoft has released an update for Skype to Support Apple Watch. Skype for Apple Watch is a stripped down version of the full version of Skype and does not support two-way voice or video calling.
Skype for Apple Watch lets you start chats on the go with your favorite contacts right on your Apple Watch. It also lets you receive notifications for new messages and reply to them straight from your wrist. It also enables you send messages quickly and easily using Siri-activated voice-to-text, emoticons, or predefined responses.
Skype for Apple Watch is now available through the latest update to Skype for iPhone, which is free to download from the App Store.
Earlier this month, Skype was updated alongside Skype Qik, with the former gaining support for additional languages and the latter gaining new video recording effects.
Aside from Skype, Microsoft has updated several other apps with new features for the Apple Watch: Microsoft PowerPoint for remotely controlling slide shows, OneDrive for viewing photos, and Microsoft OneNote for seeing recent notes and dictating new ones – all directly from the wrist.
