iPhone app turns Augmented reality comes closer to Reality
Augmented reality can be done in million different ways. The New York Times reprted Wednesday on the forthcoming iPhone app called Aurasma that has the power to turn ink and paper publications into interactive mine fields. The app is by the Software enterprise Autonomy, it uses scaled down version of the outfits IDOL pattern recognizer to identify images stored in a vast database, and converts those images into related video. The first release of the app is scheduled for the next month, comes in the form of AR Advertisement / game for an unidentified upcoming movie, the companys founder seems solidly focused on technologys marketing potential.
