Huawei Honor 6 Plus, also known as Huawei Glory 6 Plus, has been officially launched in China. It leaked a few times already and its highlight is a dual 8MP rear camera setup, somewhat similar to the HTC One M8 Duo setup.

Huawei Honor 6 Plus packs a 5.5-inch IPS display of 1080p resolution and runs on the company’s proprietary Kirin 925 chipset. The latter offers a snappy octa-core processor with four Cortex-A15 and four Cortex-A7 cores, Mali T628 MP4 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The Kirin 925 chip also offers 4G LTE Cat.6 connectivity at 300Mbps downlink and 32GB expandable storage.

The metal frame around the unibody is also a nice touch. As we already mentioned, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus is quite interesting with its two 8MP camera sensors at the back. The clever setup and its additional SLR-grade ISP technology and software algorithms allow you to take 13MP shots, captures twice the light a single sensor will do, and helps achieving super-fast autofocus at just 0.1s.

Finally, Huawei Honor 6 Plus is powered by a big enough 3,600 mAh battery and runs on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Emotion 3.0 UI.

Huawei Honor 6 Plus is offered in two flavors in China – a dual-SIM model with 4G connectivity possible only on one SIM, which is priced at CNY 1,999 (258), and another dual-SIM version where both slots support 4G LTE (though probably not at the same time), which will cost CNY 2,499 (322).

The pre-order campaign kicks off today, while shipping will begin in a week. There is no word on the worldwide availability just yet.
