How To Use WatchON – Samsung Galaxy Tab S
Learn how to use WatchON on your Samsung Galaxy Tab S. Use this app to connect to a TV and use the device as a remote control. You can search for and select TV programmes and control channels with your device.
- Tap WatchON on the Apps screen.
Connecting to a TV
- Tap WatchON on the Apps screen.
- Select a region and the broadcast service, and then follow the on-screen instructions. The available TV programmes appear.
Using the device as a remote control
You can turn the TV on or off, browse channels, or adjust the volume level on the TV using the device as a remote control.
- Tap WatchON on the Apps screen.
- Tap Remote Control icon > Setup.
- Select the TV brand.
- Ensure that the devices infrared port is facing the TV and tap Turn on your TV. Then, tap OK if the device turns on the TV. If the device does not turn on the TV, tap Retry, and then repeat this until the TV recognises the signal.
- Select a channel source.
- When the setup is completed, tap Remote Control icon.
Watching TV using the device
Select a TV programme from the list of available programmes to watch on the connected TV. Ensure that the devices infrared port is facing the TV.
- Tap WatchON on the Apps screen.
- Select a category at the bottom of the screen.
- Select a TV programme and tap Watch on TV. The selected programme will be shown on the connected TV.
- Tap Remote Control icon to change channels or adjust the volume. The remote control panel appears on the screen.
Setting programme reminders
- Select a TV programme to watch.
- Tap Select icon , set an alarm to remind you of the TV programmes start time, and then tap OK. The alarm goes off at the preset time.

This guide will work on all Samsung Galaxy Tab S’s; including Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5.
