How To Use Apps – Huawei Ascend P6
Learn how to use apps on your Huwei Ascend P6. You can also connect your phone to a computer and transfer applications.
Downloading applications
- A rich selection of applications is available through Google’s Play Store. You can also connect your phone to a computer and transfer applications over that way.
Installing an application
Note: It is recommended that you use Play Store as your primary download source. Certain third-party applications from other sources may not be compatible with your phone.

On the home screen, touch Mgmt > Download apps.

Select the application you want to install.

Touch Menu > Install.

Touch Done.
Note: During the installation, an Install blocked message may be displayed. Read the message carefully. If you want to continue with the installation, touch Settings then All > Security, and select the Unknown sources check box to allow installation of third-party applications. Then touch Back key icon to proceed.
Viewing applications
You can view detailed information about all applications installed on your phone.

On the home screen, touch Settings icon then the All tab.

Under APPS, touch Manage apps.

Flick to All.

Select the application you want to view.
Uninstalling an application
You can remove unwanted applications to increase your phone’s available storage.

On the home screen, touch Settings icon then the All tab.

Under APPS, touch Manage apps.

Flick to All.

Select the application you want to uninstall.

Touch Uninstall > OK.
Note: Some pre-installed applications cannot be uninstalled.
Clearing the application cache
You can clear the application cache to free up the phone memory.

On the home screen, touch Settings icon then the All tab.

Under APPS, touch Manage apps.

Flick to All.

Touch Clear cache.
