How To Root Samsung Galaxy Note Edge – CF Root
Rooting is the process of gaining administrative rights on your Android device. Once we root our Android device, we can then make changes to it to customize it well beyond what it normally can do. The launch of the device on T-Mobile and Sprint was immediately followed by a root method. And as you may have already predicted, it’s Chainfire who discovered the method. So, the guide below is all you need to root your Galaxy Note Edge and to get the most out of it.

- This only works for the SM-N915T, SM-N915F, SM-N915S and SM-N915P variants of the device. To find out what variant you have, head to Menu > Settings > About phone and it should be listed there.
- You need a Windows based PC to do this procedure as the tool that we’re gonna use only works on Windows.
- Make sure you install the Samsung USB drivers on your PC, if you haven’t already.

Required downloads
- Download Odin and save it to your desktop. Odin
- Download CF-Root and save it to your desktop. CF-Root for T-Mobile, CF-Root For Sprint
Rooting Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
- Uncompress files from both Odin and CF-Root over to your desktop by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.
- Right-click on Odin executable and select Run as administrator.
- When Odin launches, click on PDA and choose CF-Root available on your desktop. The file that you need to choose is the one that you extracted from the archive and not the archive itself.
- Ensure that Repartition is unchecked in the Odin.
- You can checkmark Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
- Power off your device.
- Power on your device in download mode. To do that, hold down Volume DOWN, Home, and Power buttons together.
- Hit Volume UP when you see a warning message on your screen. You’ll reboot into download mode.
- Plug in your device to your PC while it’s in download mode.
- Click Start in the Odin and itll start flashing CF-Root on your device.
- Your device should automatically reboot when CF-Root’s flashed.
- You’re done!
Your Samsung Galaxy Note Edge now has root-access. Feel free to load up your device with your favorite root-only apps, as they’ll all work fine without any trouble.
