How To Root Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – CF Root
You can root your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 using the CF Root method. Rooting is the process of gaining administrative rights on your Android device. Once we root our Android device, we can then make changes to it to customize it well beyond what it normally can do.

- Remove apps that were preinstalled by your carrier/manufacturer from your device.
- Free up storage space (because of the above benefit).
- Increase battery life (apps that might have been running constantly can be removed).
- Increase performance (after removing apps that are always running, the device will be less bogged down and run smoother).
- Update to a new version of Android (by flashing a custom recovery/ROM, see the end of this procedure for more info on that).
- Tons of other customizations when you use your new found administrative rights to flash a custom ROM (again, see the end of this procedure for more info on that)

- Thisll void the warranty of your device. We wont be held responsible if you end-up bricking or damaging your device. Do it at your own risk.
- This should only work on Windows based PCs.
- You shouldve appropriate drivers installed on your PC. If you dont, go ahead and get the latest drivers installed from here.
- CF-Auto-Root is not yet available for all models – one stock firmwares for these models become available, let me know, and I’ll make the corresponding CF-Auto-Roots. Make sure to check the main CF-Auto-Root site as well, as models may be listed there that are not listed here yet!

Required files to download
- Download Odin and save it to your desktop. Odin
- Download the appropriate CF-Root file for your device and save it to your desktop. CF-Root
Root Samsung Galaxy Note 4
- Extract files from both Odin and CF-Root to your desktop by right-clicking on each of them and selecting Extract here.
- Double-click on Odin executable and itll launch.
- Click on PDA and choose CF-Root available on your desktop. Its the file that you extracted from the archive and not the archive itself.
- Make sure Repartition is unchecked in the Odin.
- You can checkmark the boxes that say Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time.
- Turn OFF your device.
- Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN, Home, and Power buttons together.
- Press Volume UP and you should be in Download mode.
- Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
- Hit Start in the Odin and itll start flashing CF-Root on your device.
- When its flashed, your device should automatically reboot.
- Now your device is rooted and all set.
Your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is now rooted. You now have an app called SuperSU in your app drawer thatll help you manage root-permissions for various apps on your device.
