Cricket Exclusive Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime With Android 6.0 Marshmallow Available For $150

Cricket wireless has announced that they are bringing an exclusive budget-friendly Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime, powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow for their customers. The handset will priced $149.99 and will be available in-stores and also available online from the carrier’s website.

Specs-wise, the 4G LTE handset sports a 5-inch super AMOLED display, features a 5-megapixel main camera with Quick Launch is great for capturing amazing photos and HD videos quickly, and customers can use a simple hand gesture to take selfies and “groupies”. The rest of the Amp Prime’s unconfirmed specs are naturally less stellar and contemporary, though not every no-contract $150 phone out there can do 4G LTE speeds, 720p content on a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen, or last an eternity with a 10 percent charge, thanks to Ultra Power Saving Mode.

In addition, Cricket will also be launching the Samsung Galaxy Amp 2, an entry-level 4G LTE smartphone with a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display. Aside from the usual Samsung features like Quick Launch camera and Ultra Power Savings Mode, the phone comes with an outdoor mode, which the carrier says lets users increase the screen brightness for 15 minutes for better visibility in sunlight.

The Galaxy Amp 2 will carry a price tag of $99.99, and will be launched on April 15. Like the Amp Prime, it will also be available both online and in stores.
