This also makes scaling more cost-efficient because it means you won't need as many servers running all at once - you will just use them when they're needed rather than having any downtime due to running too much infrastructure in anticipation of future demand increase.

The types of components are vast, but they all contain the same fundamental characteristics: the ability to have self-contained functionality and be reused in other applications.
